Competition

The first Junior National Championships was held at Jack Lane, Leeds in 1977 the winners being Newport Pagnell.
Since then Leeds or Leeds Central have won a total of 19 British Junior National Titles and, as Leeds or Tatsumaki, a total of 13 British National Team Titles.

Leeds Central Aikido have won the following Championships:

  • JUNIOR BRITISH CHAMPIONS 1978, 79, 80, 82, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000
  • JUNIOR NORTH OF ENGLAND CHAMPIONS 1981, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99
  • SENIOR NORTH OF ENGLAND / OPEN CHAMPIONS 1984, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, 96, 07, 2010
  • SENIOR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009, 2010
  • SENIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONS (as Leeds Central) 1984, 86, 87, 88, 92, 2001 (and as Tatsumaki) 2003, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09
